Yuval Maizel

Israeli composer, conductor, and music director specializing in film, theater, and orchestral music.

Yuval Maizel composed the score for the short film Kenegdo, directed by Hani Kloizner, which won the Best Film Award at the Ma’aleh School of Film & Television Premiere Festival. He also wrote the music for Floor 13.5, directed by Adi Rozenberg, another Ma’aleh School production.

In theater, he composed the music for Picnic on the Battlefield by Fernando Arrabal, in an adaptation directed by Maya Buch at the Kibbutzim College of Education, Technology and the Arts in Tel Aviv. Since 2023, Yuval has served as the Music Director of the Israeli Parliament (Knesset) Band.

For two years, he served as a Teaching Assistant at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, teaching ear training, harmony, and counterpoint.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Orchestral Conducting from the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Media Composition at the same institution.
